I bought my wife tickets to this concert, and I really hope they sing about the Doom Patrol and the Umbrella Academy.

I don't know, whatever, some dork, who cares?
Henry Morgan's radio show is genuinely one of the funniest things ever made. I don't know his TV work, but I'm sure he was still good at being cynical and dry.

Today on @toughpigs.com, Joe Hennes and I watched the puppet episode of Strange New Worlds, and we recorded our conversation so you can read it! www.toughpigs.com/trek-puppets/

I haven't actually watched the rest of Strange New Worlds this season yet, but I watched the puppet episode so I could review it for @toughpigs.com (coming later today!)
I got a hornet sting on my eyelid, so I look like I'm in a David Cronenberg movie now. I'll spare you the image.
This is simply what I'm going to do, is watch SCTV during my lunch break every day.
Holy shit. Finally, a reason to watch Netflix. Can the Scorsese doc be far behind?
It's automatically a great day when we get a new Random Roles from Will Harris! Jeff Kober seems delighted by the career he's had, which always makes for the best RR interviews.

Once you get to season 11, are you supposed to alternate Big Bang Theory with Young Sheldon like Buffy and Angel?
One of my favorite pieces of trivia is that after McLean Stevenson left M*A*S*H, he starred in four failures before M*A*S*H went off the air in 1983: The McLean Stevenson Show (1976-1977) In the Beginning (this show, 1978) Hello, Larry (1979-1980) Condo (1983)
Did they announce if Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm are gonna be dullards again in this one?
Ready for your Avengers Doomsday homework? Marvel has released a watchlist of 15 movies and TV shows you should watch before December 18 rolls around. https://bit.ly/3UmhwmS
I'm finally getting around to Fantastic Four: First Steps. It certainly is a choice to make Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm the two most boring guys ever.

Watching Ocean’s 12 for the first time since 2007. I was hoping I was wrong, but nope. It's still aggressively annoying, as though the point is for this one to not be enjoyable.
Okay, but 30 years ago, Saved by the Bell was already off the air.
I was a huge Nintendo-head, but the appeal of Zelda eluded me in every era. Just an endless series of games about some boring guy wandering around and going in rooms.
I have never enjoyed a Zelda game.
Christopher Abbott is 40 right now. James McAvoy was 31 when his casting in X-Men: First Class was announced, and 32 when it came out.
If the best they can come up with for the trailer is Thor getting Worf'd by Doomsday . . . I don't know, I'm just not excited about that.
Heads up @meryanroe.bsky.social
An under-discussed part of John Crowley's career was his documentary filmmaking. THE WORLD OF TOMORROW, his 1984 film about the 1939 World's Fair (dir. Lance Bird) is available on YouTube in what appears to be a clean, complete copy. It's brilliant--smart, funny, elegiac, and very very Crowley.
You know, like how superheroes are targeted at 45-year-olds now.
Before every Dodgers game they let 8 kids "take the field" and meet their favorite player and that's bullshit. They should let me do it. They should let 45 year olds take the field
I don't know if everyone else hates it, but its reputation is generally low, so: Away We Go (2009) was the first movie Roz and I ever saw together, and we've watched it every Valentine's Day since. 18 viewings and counting, and we always notice new things. Our special movie.
"i hate a popular thing" is mostly boring sooooo instead tell me the piece of media you love despite everyone else hating it me? i have many, but the two that spring to mind are Milla Jovovich film Ultraviolet which i own twice accidentally, PS3 game NeverDead, and Super Mario Bros. (film, 1993)
The General on 35MM *and* with live score coming up at The Heights, a theater that's been open continuously since The General was a new release. I can't wait! heightstheater.com/films-and-ev...

My friend's little sister had "J.T.T." written in huge letters on her desk calendar, but she made tiny o's for the periods, so we always called him "Jo To To" (pronounced Joe Toe Toe) from them on.

Seth MacFarlane the writer is crass and unfunny, Seth MacFarlane the actor is smug and annoying, and Seth MacFarlane the crooner is baffling and confusing. It's been 25 years and I still just can't stand him. Now he came for the songbook of my people, and it bothers me so much.
Everything about this is haunted
When Nicholas Hoult was 12, he sang "Killing Me Softly" in front of the whole school. Now he's killing *me* softly by making a dumb career choice. deadline.com/2026/08/nich...
