The worst part about React and AI is I still get this silliness

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history. Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Maybe I'm just dumb but I just learned about git revert --no-commit fe2fa5 and where has this been my whole life?

I used to think all you need is love but now I think all you need is `git pull --autostash`

Here's an interesting one. How does one center columns that may have wrapping items in CSS?

Just spent a day doing something in Liquid (i.e., HTML/JS) that would probably take me an hour in React. I'm very grateful for modern component frameworks.

This should be interesting. I was definitely much more thoughtful filling this one out. Even had 10 suggestions for questions I wish the survey asked.

The folks behind the “State of …” surveys have a new one, and there are zero questions about coding! Instead, the focus is on us. ✨ The questions are about developer interests, health, work preferences, stuff like that. I’m *super* keen to see the results! You can take the survey here:

There are three obnoxious mistakes I still make to this day in JavaScript..

in Chrome 135 - Tomorrow Mar 26, 2025 customize all the parts of a <select> with #CSS! ⤷ nerdy.dev/customize-a-...

So strange how beautiful CSS can be, and this is like 30 seconds of a radial gradient.

Wait a minute, that price shouldn't be striked. Gotta love numbers in JS

One of the empowering advantages of coding is that if Facebook isn't giving you an accessible way to export your friends list, it's just a few lines of code away.

Literally went to the public library to try to debug a Microsoft Edge bug. Spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why my library password wasn't working on the computer (password length restriction for some reason). Then I learned they disable dev tools...

One thing that seems strange to me is my Largest Contentful Paint score is excellent in devtools but mediocre in Lighthouse. Does Lighthouse purposefully throttle? 🤔

Just fixed a CSS margin collapse bug today. It's interesting how things often go back to the fundamentals.

Is there any cost (performance or otherwise) to using CSS `scale` as property in comparison to function in transform?

I feel you meetup.com dev. I feel you.

Elijah Newren's git-filter-repo for deleting keys from git history is excellent. One command and my repo history is clean.

My "Discover" list looks very similar to my "Following" list which is not really what I was going for. I end up seeing many things twice. How do I remedy?

How is @antfu.me always 3 steps ahead of everyone. I was thinking about npm discrepancy and boom - he already solved it.

Exactly. How do I carve out a space that is bigger than a group message but smaller than a blogging system? A kind of small community feel online.

Going back to the archives with a particularly relevant post from a year ago. So far, Bluesky has mostly avoided the traps of the attention economy, but can it to sustain that? Or is it doomed to suffer the same fate as Twitter once it reaches critical mass (now)? www.coryzue.com/writing/auth...

Found @librofm.bsky.social this week. What a great idea for supporting local while reading. Wish I could write code for a company like this.

Buy audiobooks & support local bookstores

Libro.fm makes it possible for you to buy audiobooks directly through local bookstores.

libro.fm

This keeps me coding. I'm not sure if there is anything more satisfying than solving a random internet stranger's problem.

Fun history and interesting to observe building in public having a direct benefit.

@mozzius.dev love what you're building with Graysky. You know we're hiring at Bluesky for frontend/React rn 👀

What are some AI tools/software, excluding generative AI or feed generators, that are adding sustainable value to your workflow or life?

Now I'm really going to be addicted to Bluesky. These projects are so interesting.

Woke Derangement Syndrome - an intense, often exaggerated, reaction against "woke" culture, which manifests as irrational, emotionally charged responses to social justice topics, progressive movements, or inclusivity efforts.

Images are really struggling for me in the browser atm on bluesky..? Seeing a decent amount of alt text

Where are the indie hackers on bluesky? Would love to follow more.
