This election has really allowed a huge number of tech bros (and they have all been men) to go mask off about their support for Trump. Twitter/X is almost impossible to use now. Either they're actively supporting authoritarianism, or they're cheering it on with no idea of what it means.
There is no easy answer to censorship by intimidation, especially in a country like Turkey that has a hostage-taking law requiring platforms to have local staff. But the mealy-mouthed “some content” from the Public Policy handle is a shameful failure to provide any transparency or accountability.

I'm glad Jack is finally acknowledging the dumpster fire that is The Bird App since Musk took over, but his argument seems to be "There was nothing we could do — public companies are for sale 🤷🏻♂️". OK, but he literally said "Elon is the singular solution I trust" at the time. He wanted it to happen.
