There is no ethical consumption of Harry Potter. And not in the usual "no ethical consumption under capitalism" way. In the "your fandom is now comprised of hate symbols" way.

And every time you engage with this franchise, you signal to the industry that there's still money in it and they should keep pumping out content from full-cast audiobooks to book box partnerships.

With the exception of a couple of white cis male "reporter" types who like to name search on alts so they can crop text to share. If bsky would actually mod hammer those guys, that'd be great.

Right wing harassers on X hate consent. They hate being told "no." They hate not being able to force their posts onto others and target others.

I HATED gym in school... among many reasons was changing in the girl's locker room. There was absolutely nothing actually *wrong* with my body, but I still got bullied. (Thinking back, it was probably jealousy.) OTOH, for marching band, ALL of us just changed in the band locker room. No one cared.

A Democrat saying "Black people shouldn't have healthcare" or "Jews aren't biological people" or "immigrants shouldn't be allowed to play sports" would be ostracized and condemned from coast to coast, so why should we accept these repulsive beliefs when it comes to trans people?
I've locked down previous posts on this topic, and I'm locking this one down too. Whatever else is going on about it is no longer my business. The VODs and clips that had my information are no longer accessible without accounts in places, so, that's good as done to me. Mind your own business! End.
