Banning VPNs would be a bit like banning locks because some people use them to hide wrongdoing. VPNs underpin remote work, banking, security and privacy. You can outlaw providers, but the traffic can be disguised or rerouted. The result: inconvenience and workarounds.
I was gonna have a burger at Chester Market today, but NiceBites was closed today for some reason. So I ended up at Basement 85 to try the burger and I'm glad I did!
Now I'm at Basement 85 and they serve burgers from Fully Loaded Grill here now. Decided to have it and I have just three words for it - wow, wow, wow! Could be the best burger I've had in Chester! And that's a big claim considering I've always loved the burgers at Chester Market!
After a good day out in Chester (despite the rain!), I'm finishing off the day at the Glynne Arms in Hawarden.

Now I'm at Brewhouse, with their £3.65 cask ales deal on at this time of day. Decent cask too, a single hop pale by Brewhouse themselves.
Back out in Chester today, and for a change, I'm starting my pub crawl from the other side of the city to where I normally start! Starting at That Beer Place!
All these alerts going off on people's phones tonight - is this some kind of error? Surely the government aren't using a system designed to warn of actual threat to life to tell people not to bbq in a drought, but only right at the end of the drought when a lot of the damage has already been done?
But why now? Why not several weeks ago when weather was even hotter? Today is a lot cooler and it's gonna be this way for the foreseeable future. Don't tell me the government are gonna start abusing the alert system...
WTF?
Now I'm at @paysan.bsky.social @curiousgnome.bsky.social with a Tsunami by Atom. Also, loving the Pride art in the shop window #BskyBeer
Out in Chester today and it's gonna be a busy day in the city with the Tom Jones and Nile Rodgers concert later so I'm out early. Currently having a Chouffe Session at Beer Heroes #BskyBeer
Gone down to my local for the afternoon (Running Hare in Ewloe), and had to have the Hawkstone IPA #BskyBeer
Got myself a new shelving unit from IKEA Chester today. Not too bad at all. Just need more Lego sets to put in these cubes!
Yet again, more water problems! I have lost track of how many times there's been some kind of issue with the water supplies or burst pipes in the area just in the last week or so! It's becoming an absolute joke. An utter embarrassment. Welsh Water, sort your shit out!
Back out in Chester today, despite the races being on. Started down the Handbridge area and slowly making my way back into the city, stopping off at some of my favourite places along the way.
Back home now. Nice day out in Mold today. Only the second time I've been there this year, but I need to go there more often! It may be a small town, but with the likes of Polly's, Mold Alehouse, Beer Lab, Fat Boar and Y Delyn, it's a top place to go to for good beer for a small town!
One more place to visit in Mold before I head home, and it's Y Delyn. Can't believe I haven't been to this place until today! Absolutely will be back here again!
Back in Mold today! Haven't been since April, starting at Polly's Social with a Loose Fit pale ale #BskyBeer
Either @scottgull.bsky.social is a bit tired, or he's had a bit too much to drink. Can't figure out which though! 🤣
I feel that Transport for Wales don't give a shit about the Wrexham-Bidston line as the trains are almost always late. For example, right now, my connection is at least 20 minutes late so I'm stuck in Bidston until then. Fucking useless.
Back out in Liverpool for the afternoon. Starting off from James Street station with a few pubs nearby, including here at The Old Bank
That was Argentina in their "best possible way"? I hate to think what they would be like at their worst then if Enzo is claiming that utter bollocks!
Hard to believe that it's been a year already since I got the keys to my flat! Where has the time gone?
Been to the flat for the first time today. A lot of cleaning and it's already looking better. Still a lot to do but it's a start!
Just seen the news. We've lost an absolute legend today. RIP Kevin Keegan.
As much as I wanted England to win the whole thing, I do think the best team won in the end. To go through the whole tournament and concede only one goal (at least I think it was only one goal!) is a fantastic achievement. Well done Spain!
