I think it's important that it is accountability and justice, not revenge. Revenge is lawless. Accountability works toward restoring rule of law. And rule of law is what we need to prevent all this happening next time.

In a very real sense, accountability is the thing they fear most in the world. The belief that they should be immune to it is basically the foundation of their entire ideology.
This isn't even mean. This is the median Michigan position! This is why we need to be done with the glad handing horseshit. These are bad people and need to be talked about as such. This guy gets it
El-Sayed: Mike, enjoy retirement. You chose hate. Michigan chose hope. May we never have to see the likes of you in this state again
The more I think about this the more irritating it is. It’s not just feckless, it’s actively & entirely voluntarily adopting the inevitable Republican talking point that accountability for rampant criminality is just “getting even.”
"The American people don't want us to get even; they want us to get things done on their behalf." House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who is now poised to become the next House Speaker, says that Democrats will focus on affordability concerns and not retribution after their midterm wins.
Really, really important for Democrats to understand that if we allow "enforcing the rule of law" to be redefined as "getting even" we are cooked.

Dear @housedemocrats.bsky.social @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social @aoc.bsky.social & anyone else in a position of power: among the many things I’d like you to get done on my behalf is accountability for crime and corruption. It isn’t revenge, it is how you fix the system. Just want to say that plainly.
I'm gonna take this moment to point out to all the politicians who follow me that THE PEOPLE did their job tonight and put Dems in power now it is up to you fuckers to do YOUR JOB. Don't fuck this shit up like the Biden crew did. Clean house and do your job.
masculinity is not toxic!!! toxic masculinity is toxic!! young bucks stand up!!
Michigan. It's time. It's up to us to show the country what's possible. The world is watching. Polls are open 7AM-8PM.
That sticker is great. Fingers crossed for El-Sayed tonight.
A very Michigan “I Voted” sticker option at my polling place. Proud to cast a vote for @abdulelsayed.bsky.social and other candidates ready to fight the good fight.
Some real fuck those motherfuckers vibes at the polls this morning
Your vote is your voice. It's your power. Use it today.
You don’t speak for Michiganders @rephaleystevens.bsky.social. I would’ve thought this was made clear to you when you lost the primary.
@rephaleystevens.bsky.social just register as a republican and get it over with. What a disappointment.
there's been several studies showing that the number of Republican "pink slime" fake local news propaganda operations outnumber Democrat operations by around ten to one

This MHJ thing today is a good example of how absolutely useless “insiders” are. If they aren’t being fed straight from the team/agent they have no idea anymore how to be reporters. A situation only amplified by one company owning all of the outlets competing to break a story.

Every major news outlet was scooped on the biggest sports story in the US this year by a podcaster, not because they don’t have the resources but because they all primarily do access journalism and boosterism instead of actual reporting.
