It’s Meningitis Monday! Meningitis for all! Do you see a pale house? And his name that sat on him was Death. Robert F Kennedy Jr has just decided that our children should not be immunized against several diseases, among them meningitis. Meningitis spreads FAST and kills 1 in 6.

Science isn’t static. Our last Ode to #NationalFoodDay is a great example of this. We used to tell parents to avoid peanuts. Then new research showed early exposure prevents allergy, which has likely saved thousands of kids from developing peanut allergies. 🥜💡 www.npr.org/2025/10/21/n...

Reversing peanut advice prevented tens of thousands of allergy cases, researchers say

A decade ago, research said giving young children peanut products can prevent allergies. A new study says that, 10 years later, tens of thousands of U.S. children have avoided allergies as a result.

Kennedy’s ACIP 2.0 is as expected. Headlined by charlatans that have nothing to lose and will rubber stamp ludicrous policies. I strongly urge my fellow healthcare providers to speak up and be unafraid. We must ensure there is accountability through collective action.

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

During the rollout of the COVID vaccines, the lack of testing - combined with a raft of misinformation - led many pregnant women to not get vaccinated. @propublica.org wrote this in 2022, but it's just as relevant now with RFK Jr's CDC changing recommendations for the vaccine.

“God, No, Not Another Case.” COVID-Related Stillbirths Didn’t Have to Happen.

So let me get this straight: masks are bad and un-American if worn to fight a pandemic, but good if worn by people claiming to be government agents when they kidnap people off the street

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants. Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this. Do not.
