Ultimately, this whole line of argument is misogynistic and suggests women can never compete with men and just undergoing transition gives random Joe Blow a massive advantage against trained athletes. Why do the “protect women” people in this debate ignore the misogyny of their argument? 🤔

"She went from a top 500 male swimmer to a top 10 female swimmer when she transitioned" no one talks about the fact that she kept training the whole time and maybe she could have also been a top 10 male swimmer if she had wanted that, it's not like she started taking hormones and sitting around

the entire environment in the US for media and commentary and research is just a fucking black hole. i guess this is what happens after decades of tech psyops on social media, destruction of activists, publications, movements, media, etc. sad

In fact, Latin America was one of the VERY FIRST THINGS i told her about at the end of 2024. Because Latin America is one of the VERY FIRST THINGS i tell ANYONE about. So, more than a year and half later, we get Jenny, The Expert in Tech Fascism in Latin America.

Surprise surprise, after spending *hours* explaining to Jenny Cohn how venture capitalists are engaging with Latin America, it is yet another of her favorite topics I told her about, and she is not crediting my work. Absolutely insane to see entire lines of my work over years get covered up 😭

Well, in addition to making sure Trump was not held accountable for undermining what was left of Democracy, Biden and the Democrats spent years denying that the Covid pandemic is ongoing, even after Covid booted Biden himself off the campaign trail and ended his reelection bid. Walsh is a bit player

Not really a fan, but the chud isn’t wrong. Mind you, he’s complicit in the COVID denialism that ultimately propelled Trump back to power and made RFK Jr mainstream along with the other political and media figures who made the issue disappear.

I remember how Trump made sure Florida was in the list to receive PPE before New York in Trump’s first term, at the beginning of the pandemic, despite the fact that NY had many more cases and people. Why? Because Trump hated Andrew Cuomo and loved Ron DeSantis.

This is morally monstrous behavior. These are ordinary, innocent people that Trump is condemning to suffering & death out of political vindictiveness. Every decent human being, regardless of political party, should condemn it. Where is the fucking *anger*? From the press? From civic leaders? Pols?

There's something that always bothers me about calling "JD" Vance "JD". "JD" is the sort of nickname you give to a guy who smokes two packs of Marlboro reds for lunch every day. JD is a guy who drinks pure moonshine and pisses out Diet Mountain Dew. James David Vance is not a JD.

I have to agree with this. I would also like to offer a hypothesis for discussion: gambling, like other behavior labeled addictive, is a method for coping with stress/anxiety. Sports gambling is particularly convenient now, and people feel like it’s easy.

I have so many theories about why people are so attracted to sports gambling, but since I’ve never gambled and I don’t watch sports, I’m probably the last person who should opine on the matter. That said though, I think understanding why people enjoy it is a key part in addressing it.

I wrote about how much Americans wagered on sports betting in 2025 and how it’s more than they spent on movies, art, museums and music combined. Read my article @fortunemagazine.bsky.social fortune.com/2026/07/26/g...

The government has declared people terrorists for being outraged about the things police do. Can you really expect more than “muted protest” when people trying to get ICE out of their county were convicted of terrorism charges? The political mistake Democrats made was siding with cops in 2021.

Will Bunch@willbunch.bsky.social · last wk.

Are we comfortably numb with police violence? The brutal cop killing of Corey Ruiz in Madison, Wisc. sparked local protest but only muted outrage on the national level. Despite falling crime, cops gun down more Americans than ever Where's the outrage? My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/core...

Give people the support they need to live a dignified life, and they won’t feel pressured to access Medical Assistance in Dying. Make sure they’re getting the medical care they need. Ensure they’re housed & fed. If you don’t offer the care needed to live, assisted dying becomes coercive:

The founder of a start-up called Right to Live Canada, Eric Holmes says MAID could be avoided in some cases if patients had better housing or financial outcomes.
