Today marks 6 years since Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 was shot down over Iran, killing all 176 souls onboard. I have it in my calendar because I knew people who were on that flight. In particular, Dr. Pedram Mousavi was a wonderful person who I worked with daily. Rest in peace.
Today, the northern hemisphere is at its maximum tilt away from the sun. This means the days are going to start getting longer instead of shorter, and that's worth celebrating. Happy winter solstice! ☀️
