North Bridge is fully reopening today in time for our summer festival season! 🎉 Both pavements and traffic lanes will be back in use. The Category A listed structure has undergone a complete restoration over the eight year project with contractor Balfour Beatty ⚒️

Edinburgh's Visitor Levy officially comes into effect tomorrow! The UK's first city-wide levy is projected to raise up to £50 million a year to invest back into our city - improving the services we all depend on, while better managing the effects of tourism and major events.

A section of west Princes Street is still closed to vehicles following last week’s fire, which is causing transport disruption. Buses are diverted and trams are not running between Princes Street, Leith and Newhaven. Trains are running as normal and stopping at Waverley and Haymarket. Plan ahead

We’re still looking for your views about the areas being considered for Firework Control Zones this year. FCZs ban the use of fireworks within designated areas for a limited period and are one of the measures we’re using to improve safety and reduce anti-social behaviour during firework season.
