It was fantastic to unplug from the chaos in the world for a few days to focus on the wonderful & impactful science being done in the Ecology & Evolution of Infectious Disease community. Huge thanks to Notre Dame for hosting @eeid2025.bsky.social and I can't wait for @eeid2026.bsky.social next year!
Thanks to everyone at @eeid2025.bsky.social for listening to me present our work yesterday on #schistosomiasis transmission across two ecological gradients! 🐌🪱 Excited to see how this project continues to take shape with @pmheffernan.bsky.social and the @rohrecologylab.bsky.social crew!
I had an amazing time at @eeid2025.bsky.social Thanks to everybody that came to see my poster, talk research, or just to say hi. It was cool to see all the amazing research being done in Ecology and Evolution.
Thanks to everyone who came to my talk earlier today and who chatted with me after @eeid2025.bsky.social! Had many great conversations 🐄
Dr. Greiner presenting on FMD.
CIDD folks hiked up the dune (and ran down 🏃🏻♀️)!
Great to be at @eeid2025.bsky.social this year and thanks for opportunity to share about our schisto work!

We're in full swing at EEID 2025! Come check out our poster or better even, both posters, to chat West Nile and Usutu virus! @eeid2025.bsky.social
ICYI here are the slides we presented earlier this morning of an AI analysis of information from the abstracts we received at #EEID2025. We hope it is useful for offering some big-picture perspective on what's going on in EEID research right now. Or at least a starting point for discussion!
Come visit my poster (#84) about wastewater surveillance, cryptic transmission, and epidemic dynamics today from 5:15-7pm! @eeid2025.bsky.social #EEID2025
Today (Tuesday), I'm presenting a poster on a flexible graph database pipeline for data integration, with a small teaser on a completed subsampling tool for phylogenetics, if you want to chat about that instead!
For the first full day of #EEID2025, you will be looking for Duncan Student Center, which you can find on Google or Apple Maps etc. It is on the west side of the stadium. Enter on the main level and look for elevators to the Dahnke Ballroom on the 7th floor. We’ll start at 8:45, so beat the rush!
If you’re at @eeid2025.bsky.social Come see my poster tomorrow, and let’s talk about viral evolution!
We're looking forward to welcoming folks to #EEID2025 at Notre Dame tomorrow! As you're finalizing your packing, it would be a good idea to bring some rain gear based on the latest forecast, including for our Wed morning hike.
Looking forward to #EEID2025! I'll be presenting a poster on some new stuff I'm up to and peacocking to find work in January so if you vibe with graph databases, phylogenetics, or unique subsampling approaches make sure you swing by! Especially if you have a postdoc role I might be good for...
We're looking forward to welcoming folks to Notre Dame for #EEID2025 next week! Be sure to stop by the welcome reception. There will be lots of food and drink!
