Frogs Together Strong 🐾

When I worked for The Onion, practically everyone who visited the office would ask how they could submit headlines. This one stoner delivery guy was so persistent, we finally told him he could submit 10 headlines on spec and we'd take a look. First one on his list was "Shit and poop are Stinky!!!"

if i wrote for the onion i'd write a headline that was like "Breaking News: The president is an orange!" and then you'd click it and the article would be like "An orange-haired no-good crook, that is!" that might seem a little mean-spirited but the way i see it, i'd get a click and you'd get a laugh

I am really surprised this album isn't getting more attention. It's fun, groovy, and sounds REALLY good. I don't think I have heard a single track on KMHD! Must just be barely missing it or something. Nate Smith is just the absolute hardest drummer.

man, just saw Dolly Parton passed away and my response was an audible NOOOOO. what a gut punch. also what an amazing and inspiring life she led. pushing us all to do and be a little better.

I think I am prob the only person who began the week seeing Gillian Welch and David Rawlings and ended it seeing Rosalia. Two wonderful life affirming experiences which couldn’t be much more different. Live music!!

Live Music Archive picked an annoying day to start having network issues lol. Will have last nights Gillian show up as soon as that’s resolved. Also they fixed whatever was causing their vocal mics to clip on Fri night, and boosted Paul in the mix, sound was way better.

The other highlight for me was David Rawlings guitar tone. It's perfection. Felt like there were some unusual audio problems last night with the vocal mics, would imagine that gets sorted tonight. Funnily enough I had my own (perhaps less unusual) audio problems, something must have been in the air.

Highlight for me from last nights Gillian Welch / David Rawlings show: New Minglewood Blues. They grooved it out, and then it also feels timely as we are living in what feels like the aftermath of a global-level Monterey pop festival debacle. This darkness got to give man.

uploading this week's Barry Walker Unit show to the live music archive has been a ten hour ordeal, like the behind the scenes processing has been super slow. show will be up tomorrow though! it's the best sounding recording I have gotten from a BWU show yet.
