Final conference of the summer! ✨ Myself, C. Andonie, J. Petley, E. Glikman, and T. Costa organised a Lorentz Center workshop on the role of obscured AGN in galaxy evolution. It was a really fun and inspiring week, meeting lots of amazing astronomers and learning a lot about dusty AGN! 🌌
If only this had been PREDICTED so that countries could have taken action before they were literally engulfed in flames...

Planned a whole nyc weekend with my college-bound baby girl which included going to see Noah Kahan tonight. It rained all day. We got soaked. But it seemed to clear up just in time for the show to be canceled ☹️😢😭 (We were at the stadium when we found out!! I don’t see any rain 😠)
As a lifelong GH fan (passed down from my grandmother) this is bringing me tremendous joy and delight!

I’ve had a rough week so let me just say - if you use LLMs to “improve” your science I think you’re a coward and a hack. We don’t need more science faster, even if LLMs make that possible. We need thoughtful science done by people who like doing it.
I cant wait to be one of the last people to have a functioning brain left 🥴

When I was first elected to Congress, I had no idea just how often I’d need to stand up for our LGBTQ+ rights. I’m honored to do this work, and I won’t stop until every person in this country can be their whole and true self.

Why is it so hard to watch an NBA game? 😫 Now I have to buy a month of espn.
Whenever I push back against AI encroachment into our lives, I have to preface it with “I’m not anti tech. I am a scientist. I code for my work”. Otherwise you’re branded a Luddite. Yet, the more tech-knowledgeable people I know the more protective they are against this encroachment.
