I am finally caught up on my “Oh crap it’s his birthday” panic for my nephew. He asked for a snake plush that is “Thiiiiiissss big” as he stretched his hands out huge. This fabric has been waiting for excuses to get used. Everything sourced from my fabric hoard successfully! No shopping needed

It is in one piece!!!! Now I need to find the right fabric to header and footer it into a bed spread shape. This was such a fun piece of artwork to work with. @joannabarnum.com follow them damnit and thank you for sharing your work with me to collaborate on this explosion of color!

Midnight update, maths have been mathed and we are good to assemble! 25% done and more to roll. Still deciding on header and footer fabric to lengthen the quilt. It’s a bit square shaped for on a bed. I make my quilts for use; they look gorgeous on a wall; but you can get a good hug from these too

I have to ask a question to other textile artists… how many irons have you killed? Cuz I’m on the 4th one in 3 years. And these aren’t crappy irons. I mean yea I am sewing triangles for 8 hours straight; but this one had a rest mode so it wasn’t burning itself out! At least I had a back up iron….

Finalizing the layout. Gonna sleep on it before sewing it all together. This is coming out as awesome as I had hoped!!! I am going to have to find an awesome Halloween fabric with similar jewel rainbow tones!

I Agree with @anthrocon.org needing to fully vet their dealer Applications. I know they make a huge effort and one from last year misrepresented their application and arrived a something else. I would love to to see those tables kicked out and reselling to an artist ally person at least

Anthrocon is great and lovely show and it’s truly one of my favorite conventions but I hate that I personally know like 5 great artists who applied and didn’t get into when there’s a huge dropship garbage endcap at the end of my row. How did this get in instead of some real indie artists? #anthrocon
