A first year above 2C in the mid-2030s now looks plausible. 0.5C was first passed in 1980, 1.0C in 2010 and 1.5C in 2024. The 15-year trend runs at 0.42C per decade. The 2026 and 2027 points for the current El Nino are estimates. We're not remotely ready!

Gosh, the news out of Indiana is horrible. ICYMI, the Indiana Historical Society fired its entire Education and Engagement Team and its Exhibits staff. Apparently, the emergency all-hands meeting lasted 3 minutes & then they were all escorted from the building, having to return later for their stuff

This is completely untrue! A concurrent resolution has never been tested in court. The idea that the president has to sign Congress' resolution taking away his war powers was always ridiculous, and Democrats or an intervenor can and should make that case.

Another reminder: if there exists *any* class of people who don't have due process rights, then *nobody* actually has due process rights because the government can always just say you're in that class.

They turned her over to ICE, who shackled her & took her an hour away. Even after a lawyer convinced ICE of the woman's citizenship the sheriff says they did no wrong
