nutmegger / coloradan. yes I agree that’s a strange combination. views my own and mostly unserious.

the Connecticut Respecter (me) has returned from my latest trip, here’s some stuff I found in my dad’s woodshop when I was cleaning it out this past weekend + the sun setting in the woods behind the house

choose your fighter (a couple of old tools buried in a toolbox I dug up) partial picture of a woodshop, there’s light coming in from a pair of windows on the right, framed by two giant speakers that have only played classic rock. an embroidery covered in sawdust that reads “STRESS, The confusion created when one’s mind overrides the body’s basic desire to choke the living shit out of some asshole who desperately needs it!” My dad has this up on a nail above a table saw, I suppose as a reminder of sorts. a large backyard at sunset, there is an old wooden shed (that my dad and I built) on the right and the rest is trees. Sun is setting just above the shed.

realizing I have Rockies tickets (good ones, even) the same night as US/Bosnia, so now I get to enjoy one of life’s true luxuries: watching one sport while attending another

annual reminder of this banger of a thread. My contribution: I volunteered to coach little league this year and taught a bunch of 5-7 year olds to say “look alive out there” to each other while pounding their mitts with their fists. Did this help with our defense, no, why would you ask that

It is time once again to discuss the Most Dad Things we have done in the past year. A couple of reminders: - gender is a social construct, anyone can do Dad Things - you need not be a parent to do a Dad Thing - the definition of a Dad Thing is entirely subjective and maybe made up I’ll go first:
