I agree with Edsall: Dems should try to win without the support of women, minorities, LGBTQ people, leftists, or people who need/support social services and/or are concerned about gun violence. Surely there's enough rich white straight male reactionary centrist columnists for an electoral majority!

From Tom Edsall’s column. I wish he had specified what he means by “wedge-issue attacks.” I’m also not sure what it means to say that Dems have been “vulnerable” to these things for 60 years. Presumably, he is suggesting that backlash politics has, on balance, harmed the Democrats.

In reality, the Democratic Party has been vulnerable since the 1960s to wedge-issue attacks on such subjects as civil rights, women’s rights, affirmative action, welfare spending, crime, gun control, gay marriage and transgender rights.

Requiring kindergarten children who play sports in school to get pelvic exams and genetic testing is hate, inspired against the trans community. This is not even college or professional sports where money and pro-status will be determined. This is just bigotry. www.rawstory.com/anti-trans-s...

I fully agree with your statement, but the picture can be added to the archive of fake Trump-Epstein pictures. By the way, I am afraid these pictures are very, very innocent compared to the real pictures when they are published.
