73% of mothers with kids under 18 are in the workforce. More than flowers or brunch, working moms need: -Paid family leave -Equal pay -Universal childcare -Universal healthcare (But get your mom flowers, too)

By letting the ACA tax credit expire, Republicans drove up premiums for families and forced them to choose between paying their bills or seeing a doctor. That’s not leadership. It’s cruelty.

Now that filing week is complete, campaign season is fully underway. I'm honored this Saturday to announce the endorsement of Indivisible Puyallup.

The majority of Washington school districts are small school districts, exactly the kind of districts that would be hurt by bringing school vouchers to our state. I'm running to support a public education system that serves all our students, whatever their zip code.

Landon Halverson ran for the Washington State House repeatedly as a Republican and has served as a vice chair of the King County Republicans. He sees big losses on the horizon.

This morning I attended a legislative town hall hosted by the 25th District legislative delegation. When asked about persistent state underfunding of public education, my opponent's answer was the federal tax credits promised by HR1. HR1 hurts public education in 2 ways.
