Facebook keeps showing me haircut transformation video reels. The people start off with terrible hair, at the end they still have terrible hair but styled in a really awful way. 'Oh wow, that looks amazing. Amazingly bad'.

I've not seen enough people talking about John Leguizamo's incredible performance as Eumaeus in The Odyssey. He absolutely disappears into the role, so much so that I had no idea he was in the film until I saw his name in the credits. Best supporting actor Oscar on the way? #TheOdyssey

I saw The Odyssey this evening and thought it was excellent. Despite being a sprawling epic the story is remarkably easy to follow and not at all inaccessible to those, like me, unfamiliar with all the twists and turns. An ancient tale that still resonates. #TheOdyssey

Interested to learn that the asteroid belt, between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, is not as densely packed as asteroid fields are often depicted in science fiction, but instead contains asteroids that can be up to a million kilometres apart.

I watched Masters of the Universe this evening. It's a good fun film that plays to the audience with a knowing wink at the daftness of it all. Jared Leto is a revelation as Skeletor and takes the film up a notch. He's way over the top, in a good way, with some classic villain monologuing. You boob!

I've just watched the last few episodes of Parks and Recreation, I loved it. I can't believe that it took me so long to get round to watching such a great show. I imagine I'll re-watch it at some point but for the time being I'm going to miss it.

David Byrne, along with his band and dancers, put on an exceptional show at the Playhouse tonight. You could have powered a small city with the energy in the theatre! Absolutely top notch performances from all involved and one of the best gigs I've been to in a long time. #DavidByrne

Some interesting trivia I just learned. The person who delivers the 'oh you lucky bastard' line at the end of the spaceship scene in Monty Python's The Life of Brian is played by Charles Knode, who was one of the costume designers for Blade Runner. #BladeRunner

It really bugs me when I read a book written by an American author and they use the US spelling of whisky, even when a character is drinking an obviously Scottish whisky. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🥃
