A little late to the party, but since Wednesday was #CanadaDay 🇨🇦, I thought I'd celebrate by saying that last week I wrapped up my research stay at the @utoronto.ca I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I think it's safe to say I've fallen in love with Toronto. 🍁❤️

I had a wonderful experience at the ACCSFF at York University, Toronto. It was a pleasure to present my paper, "Representing Toronto: The Renamed City in Code 8", and to learn from such insightful presentations and discussions 🇨🇦✨📚
📽️This week @unizar.es is hosting the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "Space and Performance in the Cinema", led by our co-PI Marimar Azcona and @pablogomezm.bsky.social ⬇️🧵 Follow this thread to see how team members and participating lecturers explore the relationship between performance and space
Last week I had the opportunity to take part in the Bridges and Barriers conference on Canadian Studies in Naples. Grateful for the inspiring discussions and for discovering such a beautiful, vibrant city along the way. 🇨🇦✨
👉 Mañana participo en La Noche de la Investigación en #CaixaForum #Zaragoza. Estaré en una actividad muy especial para acercar la investigación al público. ¡Pasaos!
Do I know anybody doing film studies in Toronto? Or do you know anyone there? I'm looking for a contact to organise a visit and would appreciate help.
Proud (and a bit nervous) to share my first published piece — a film review of Here (2024) by Robert Zemeckis, featured in @jaclrinfo.bsky.social Grateful for the opportunity! reunido.uniovi.es/index.php/ja...

For Celestino Deleyto, film space has palimpsestic potential
And you did a great job too!
Just presented my paper “Lived Spaces and Emotional Geographies: Toronto as Psychological Landscape in Sarah Polley’s Take This Waltz” at the #RealandImaginedSpacesinFilm conference — such a great experience! Huge thanks to my colleagues at @spacescinema.bsky.social for the fantastic organization!

Loved seeing Celestino Deleyto’s montages of shots from films set in Marseille and his photos of the same locations. #RealandImaginedSpacesInFilm
