Like this is going to sound pretty dumb and obvious, but after working on migration/asylum for over a decade my very basic conclusion is that migrants are just regular people made “irregular” by violent border policies, fences, walls, draconian visa regimes.
Note: these people have been de-legalized by Trump. (the entire concept of legal vs. "illegal" immigration is bullshit)

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

The First Circuit, after briefing following the SCOTUS opinion in other TPS cases, reverses the district court order that had blocked DHS's effort as to Ethiopia.
