Life Hack: Get whatever android TV streaming box of your choice (you can find cheap ones), install a custom launcher like ProjectIvy to always boot it into a clean, no ad or bloat menu, and then NEVER hook your TV itself up to the internet. It's awesome, I never see any of this shit anymore.

Using #Avira for this OC question: Yes. I gave her trauma. I give all of my characters some sort of trauma, since no one person goes through their life without any. Hers was her father's SAing her before she fled her home town, but I am very lucky to never have gone through anything of the sort.
