I can’t believe that Reform UK turned out to be financed by a bunch of money laundering fronts for Russia. It’s just so unexpected.
We spray poison to kill pests. But we killed the pollinators too. We broke the chain that feeds us. And the companies profiting from this ecocide face no consequences.
You could say the same about any public service, or anything at all of public interest. The demands of capital owners trounce all other considerations, degrade the service and transform it into something with an entirely different purpose. UEFA's succinct critique of capital should be framed.
