"El, Bean, you out there? And female?” Ray, one of the captive reared chicks released in Waukegan in 2025, was spotted hanging out at Rainbow Beach today. You may remember, when he left Waukegan last year, Ray visited both Montrose Beach and 63rd Street Beach. 1/2

They all look like raptors to me. ~ Imani Piping Plovers and all shorebirds are terrified of kites and drones. They see them as raptors and will either not nest in an area where there are kites or drones, will come off their nests, or be distracted from real raptors. 1/2
