Semipalmated Plovers get their name from their partially webbed feet ("palmated" means webbed.) These shorebirds are slightly smaller than an American Robin.

They all look like raptors to me. ~ Imani Piping Plovers and all shorebirds are terrified of kites and drones. They see them as raptors and will either not nest in an area where there are kites or drones, will come off their nests, or be distracted from real raptors. 1/2
