Just as your thoughts gather, your body moved... 𝙁𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙃 *𝙎𝙉𝘼𝙋* "𝑺𝒊𝒕. 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒚." You stopped your movement. The room darkened. Only a monitor sat before you. A slow rippling screensaver is the only light. Your arm attempted to lift again. 𝙁𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙃 *𝙎𝙉𝘼𝙋* "𝑺𝒊𝒕. 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒚." You slump and stay like a 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙩.

Pitch:
Inquisitor T. Sterling is hired by the pious town of Eden Hollow to hunt down the witch that commands an ancient forest known as the Elder Grove.
Reclusive, guarded, and untrusting, Elias finds with dread that the only way he can save his forest (and himself) from an untimely demise is to work with the hunter that was hired to kill him.
Within Eden Hollow, Avery Miller struggles with the town's restrictive Puritan rules, forced to hide his love for another man and a sudden magical ability that manifests within him.
As their lives intertwine and tensions rise, secrets that were kept locked away seep through the cracks, and what they find very well may destroy them.

Excerpt:
Firm knocks upon a wooden door echoed across the town square. The silence that followed made Inquisitor Sterling’s blood boil.

“I know you are there.” His voice was firm, cutting. “Open the door.”

Another heavy rapping. Several officers were waiting behind him, and the air grew charged as more silence passed.

“In the name of God, I demand you open this door.”

No response. She thought she could hide, but he was prepared for that.

Sterling jerked his head to the officers behind him. “Break it down,” he muttered, stepping back.

Steering himself clear of the splintering wood, he brought his hand to the hilt of his sword. The cold iron brought him some comfort for what lay ahead.

Three hard crashes of the ram were all it took to bring the door down. The officers cleared a path for Sterling to enter first. The pitch interior did not deter him as he stepped over the rubble.

“Madame Willow?” The mere name alone brought an acrid taste to Sterling’s mouth as he began to withdraw his blade. “If you come out quietly, I will make it painless.”

He jerked his head to the officers again, a silent command to surround the hut. There would be no escape.

“You have the wrong idea, Inquisitor.” A raspy voice in the darkness got his attention. Background image: A dense patch of white daisies in a meadow. It's dawn, and the sunrise if peeking through the tree line in the background.

I'm posting this here so somebody can hold me to it: when I get time I want to do studies on art aspects I enjoy but have trouble doing myself. Painting. The taut look on inflatables. Smooth, liquidy shine. Yknow experimenting with my style

I have two novels so far full of trans joy, villain punching, rock music, lesbian feelings, and classic magical girl action. I'm working on the next book *and* on some other cool stuff, so why not support the cutie crew? Read their current adventures in ebook, print, or audio formats! magicariot.com

A graphic featuring a banner image of the members of queer Portland magical girl rock band Magica Riot - Sara (Riot Red), Claire (Riot Purple), Nova (Riot Blue), Cass (Riot Yellow), and Hana (Riot Green), standing in the waterfront park in downtown Portland amid the cherry blossoms. Below them, artwork for the two main novels - Magica Riot and Magica Riot: Full Bloom - are arranged side-by-side. “Magica Riot” features a purple color scheme and Claire posing dramatically amid purple clouds and the outline of the St. Johns Bridge in Portland, while “Full Bloom” features characters Iris and Bloom laying on orange rain lilies while touching fingertips.

Text on the graphic reads: “Read the adventures of Portland’s queer magical girl rock band. Trans protagonist, music-based magic, useless lesbians, thrilling action, found family energy, modern-day Portland. Recommended if you like: Sailor Moon, Symphogear, Pretty Cure, Power Rangers."

to me there is no such thing as a spider-man movie that is too long. i would watch a 4 hour cut of brand new day or across the spider-verse happily, especially if there are more scenes of the characters talking to each other and crying.
