This is a new one for the category of “insane things that happen to me because I report on the royal family”: Somebody went to Clevr’s website, put my name and information into the “contact us” page, and wrote a screed against Meghan Markle. This is not normal behavior.

So, my Twitter/X account was hacked earlier today and I've lost access to it (the bastards reset my 2FA). I know this is a longshot, but does anyone on here know an actual human who might be able to help me? (I get most of my freelance commissions via Twitter/X and being locked out of it is bad.)

Truly hilarious to me that I’m out of the USA when there’s an official royal visit and one of my best friends who’s working in Kyiv is out of the country when Prince Harry is there. Your girl (who covers the royal family) can’t catch a break.

I’m currently in the boarding process of an international flight and I truly cannot believe the AUDACITY of so many passengers on this plane. People (including 1 family w/ kids) are just sitting wherever they want and then guilt-tripping the people who actually have those seats.

I have a weird little story about Paolo Zampolli, the guy who introduced Trump to Melania: He owned a building 1 block away from the old BuzzFeed NYC office and would rent some of its apartments on AirBnB. I stayed there a lot (proof attached, he gave me great reviews). This was part of the decor:

A view down a set of stairs (that are behind a locked door that happens to be open) with a large portrait of Trump on display. An AirBnB review from “Paolo” in NYC in October 2017:

“Ellie its [sic] an amazing guest !!! Left my place spotless, all conversation was nice and smooth! I highly recommend her to all Airbnb hosts! Thank you Ellie!”An AirBnB review from “Paolo” in NYC from August 2018:

“Amazing guest as usual!!! What a pleasure to host again!! The best guest ever! Thank you!”

I’m heading into Midnight Mass and turning my phone off, but I want to say a very Happy Easter to everyone. (Especially everyone who’s becoming Catholic tonight — to you, welcome to our family!!!)

Dark money campaign in IL-09 changed their shady website last night not to dispute reporting but to smear it with the fact that I worked w/ Abughazaleh's boyfriend at NBC 3 years ago. To be clear: Ben is cool. We used to work together. And that had no influence on this 100% true story. Send me tips!

For shits & giggles I plugged in some of my recent stories to Grammarly’s “expert review” thing, and its bots pretended to be @franklinavenue.bsky.social, @moryan.bsky.social, @emilynussbaum.bsky.social & @brianstelter.bsky.social among others. This is some bullshit.

I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.

Target plans to spend billions of dollars this year to end a persistent sales slump and to regain its image as a fun place to shop for stylish clothing, housewares, beauty products and packaged food at affordable prices.
