I just found out that the 2017-18 Canadian comedy series NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW will be available on Disney+/Hulu beginning this Friday (along with the follow-up movie that came out earlier this year, NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE). Very highly recommended.

Last September, I was laid off as a full-time employee but kept on as part-time 16 hours a week... then in May, I was cut to 9 hours a week... and now I've been cut to zero hours a week.

When I worked as a closed-captioner, I captioned a LOT of soap episode, mostly Days of Our Lives. They were relatively easy to deal with because they just used scrolling captions (quicker and cheaper for them than the "pop-on" variety). 1/2

I used to work on a soap opera as an AD (Frank Valentini, the current EP of GENERAL HOSPITAL was my boss) and it's really delightful seeing people discover how fun these shows can be through the Oliver cameo

I promise, finding a 1976 phone book in a time capsule was not necessary for this fact to be "revealed." Area code 407 was created in 1988. Ask a local Gen-Xer what their phone number was when they were a kid!

News story about a bicentennial time capsule being opened, with the sentence, "Additionally, the capsule included a phone book that revealed Orlando had the area code '305' in the mid-1970s."

Someone once asked me for directions on the Columbus Circle subway platform, even though I was wearing a Tampa Bay Devil Rays shirt and there were dozens of people around in Yankees apparel, so I am obviously a Real New Yorker.

In terms of all humans who have ever lived, I am in the top 0.0001% of being a Real New Yorker. (Go there maybe once a year, know not to say Avenue of the Americas or “Houston” Street, don’t think much about it at all.)

This is the first time I've watched a baseball game from Toronto since seeing Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie. When do Matt and Jay parachute in?

Exterior shot of Rogers Centre, as seen at the beginning of a Tampa Bay Rays broadcast. (Contrary to the body of my post, though, the roof is actually closed, so Matt and Jay won't be able to get inside.)
