As a science fiction writer I really fucking resent tech bros for ruining the phrase "artificial intelligence." 80 years of it being all about cool androids and interesting computers destroyed by five years of "Spicy autocorrect making everything shittier for money." NEVER FORGIVE.

I've always lived by the mantra that you should treat others as you would like to be treated. Unfortunately, this is proof that I have not kept up with the current time and age; these days reciprocity is well and truly dead. Now I just have to figure out, how do I trust people anymore?

You'd think that at my age, I'd have learned by now that I shouldn't trust people so easily; shouldn't expect to be equals and friends even after 7+ years together almost daily. But nope, I haven't learned, and it turns out yet again that I'm just unimportant garbage there to be taken advantage of.
