I was telling someone the other day that I think GTA isn't ready for the "cultural shift" that happened since GTA v came out. They thought I was crazy but now it's showing.

I remember when Japanese devs pulled all of their pc titles after koei tecmo failed to sue a guy in the US for making a nude mod of a doa game because in Japan modding is illegal without the publisher approval.

Early on I lost a lot gigs as a programmer for indie devs because every time they pitched me the project I'd walk out if they said, "our game is like x meets y." At that time, 2011, it x was usually Skyrim, Pokemon, or CoD. I can't blame journalists when devs themselves say it about their games
