dear god just saw how an it looks when someone's hit with the account wide adult content warning and it's fucking MISERABLE blurred icon, blurred banner, every single post is hidden, even text posts, and posts that have images require you to hit unhide TWICE for the text and image, fucking nightmare
Bsky is apparently gonna start flagging whole accounts as nsfw soon so if you don't already know about your moderation settings, highly suggest switching nsfw from Hide to Warn; otherwise many creators will completely vanish from your timeline when they roll this out.
And now what am I supposed to do exactly? Should I go back to check on each and any of my posts to delete the nsfw ones? Losing all the living interaction and comments because this app wants to appease the prudes? Or disappearing into oblivion to anyone new? God I'm so tired of social medias.....
I love how every so often we end up on the same fucking point of "if you ever drew a dick you're gonna be put in horny jail and no you can't out-put" and be treated like the plague, all while the whole fucking world is on fire and run by pedo and nazi. Lovely times to be alive, really
If you have nsfw set to "hide" I implore you to set it to "warn". You still won't see anything except for a blurred post Otherwise once they roll out account-wide adult content labeling a whole lot of people including me are going to disappear from your timelines, even our sfw text posts
The only ethical use of GenAi is to efficiently identify people I don’t want to talk to anymore.

I do not want GenAI in fanart. I do not want GenAI in character design. I do not want GenAI in world design. I do not want GenAI in writing. I do not want GenAI in storyboarding. I do not want GenAI in voice acting. I do not want GenAI, period. If any piece of media uses GenAI, I don't want it.
the only target audience you should keep in mind when making art is the worms in your own brain tbh

go tell your favorite artists you like their work. you may think they hear it enough or your praise would be identical to someone else's so you say nothing, but i promise you they would love to hear it. and sometimes they need to hear it.
I can't believe we're going back to this kind of discourse but: Using references isn't cheating Using 3D mannequins and photo references is STANDARD, even for professional artists Shaming people and pushing them to draw exclusively from memory is harmful and can set back people who are learning
