I’m a collagist who feels strongly that Democracy must survive in America, somehow. Check out my Substack Full Nest about finding out the things your kids happened to educate you when they were around and now you don’t have them there to guide you.
If you’re able, call your Congress folk now. The key thing here is to reject the changes to section 106. bsky.app/profile/tedg...

OSSOFF: On day 9, you assured us of Iranian surrender. Does that remain your prediction? HEGSETH: Iran will never have a nuclear weapon O: So to review, you will not answer whether your statement that Iran's military was 'destroyed' was truthful as you sit here and ask for tens of billions more?
The number of children receiving SNAP nationwide has dropped by more than 1.5 million since Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill became law, based on CBPP’s analysis of available data from 17 states. www.cbpp.org/research/foo...

Michael Fanone's take on Lindsey Graham is one of the most powerful I've read:
In memory of Lindsey Graham Trump has decided to stop his nonsense about the reflecting pool and signed the housing bill, sent F-16s to Ukraine, gives up on trying to steal the midterms and admits that he was flattered when Graham started dying his hair blond to match the object of hid lusty desire.
Lindsey Graham was one of the main subjects of a @theatlantic.com cover story I wrote in 2020, on why people collaborate with regimes they know are immoral. Here's a gift link: www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc...
History Will Judge the Complicit
Why have Republican leaders abandoned their principles in support of an immoral and dangerous president?

@ezrakleinbot.bsky.social I thought your interview with Chris Rufo was so interesting and revelatory. But I was really surprised that you let him get away with saying that rightwing media is so fragmented. I think rightwing media is in lockstep led by Fox. Iran war has changed it slightly but…
can’t believe a narcissist is being so publicly humiliated by a reflecting pool
I was worried things couldn’t get stupider, I was wrong
Trump: “Here is another example of a crazy pro-algae (likely paid) protestor. The sign says, ‘First they came for the algae…’ which is in reference to a famous post-WW2 statement about Germans not speaking out against Nazis ‘…Then they came for the Jews, & I did not speak out—bc I was not a Jew “

Taxpayers are on the hook for another $765 million to ensure four offshore wind farms are never built. Feds will buy out leases off NY, CA, and the Gulf of Maine, bringing total federal payouts to abandon wind leases to $2.5 billion. Art of the deal, amirite? www.nytimes.com/2026/06/17/c...
To everyone who helped bring the Obama Presidential Center to life, thank you. Michelle and I are so grateful for all your dedication and hard work over the years. I got a little teary-eyed tonight thinking about my mother-in-law, Marian Robinson.
As seen in Provincetown, MA. But what I want to know is if they’ll let the people eat cake?
Your daily reminder this should be the biggest scandal in American politics right now but nobody seems to care. Ken Paxton freed a man who raped a boy for 3 years. He also doesnt have to register as a sex offender. www.texastribune.org/2026/05/19/k...
Inside Ken Paxton’s plea deal for a child sex abuse case
Critics are pointing to two other serious felony cases that the attorney general’s prosecutors took to trial that ended in mistrials and, eventually, plea deals.

@gideonrachman.bsky.social can you really believe anything someone from Iran can say publicly? It was a good interview but her responses didn’t sound credible.
So the guy who invited the Taliban to Camp David and gave control of the Strait of Hormuz to Islamic Republic of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is now telling us he just had "a very good call with Hezbollah." Sounds great.
“How did Ghislaine Maxwell, Mr. Epstein’s imprisoned accomplice, manage to secure a transfer to a more comfortable federal prison last year — after sitting for an interview with Mr. Blanche, then the deputy attorney general? Ms. Bondi said she had no idea about it until she read about in the news.”
“The world-famous Rose Garden has been replaced with a patio that looks like one at MaraLago. The East Wing is rubble. On the sweeping South Lawn right outside the front door construction is underway on a massive Ultimate Fighting Championship arena for cage matches to be held on Trump’s 80th.” HCR
If you can bear her vocal fry plus squeaky voice, she’s speaking the truth on Fox!
The MAGA victory lap on getting Massie out when they had to spend 35 million and won by 10 in a Trump 35 district seems misguided. Trump has a 34% approval rating. He’s -18 with Independents and Democrats are up 11 for the midterms.
