while i don't think that copying another artist's work 1:1 for "trends" is on the same level of AI, there needs to be a serious discussion about stealing/copying and treating other artists and their work as "inspo"/turning their work into unwelcome trends they didn't consent to in the art community

Had to take a break from art fight to make a present for a baby shower. The couple’s nursery is themed around Beatrix Potter so I tried to recreate one of her pieces for them :)
character design is rough because sometimes yeah i did that on purpose and it was very clever and im basically a genius. and sometimes my favorite color is orange so i picked orange
If you don’t want artists of a different skill level to you gift you art in the art gifting game, don’t join artfight and then bully and belittle those artists when they spend their time and effort on a gift for you. Go do art trades with those you deem “worthy” instead of being an elitist asshole.
