@play.date Season 3 is off to an amazing start with two very different but equally impressive games - Soggy Froggy and Gloom Gate. I never thought I'd give a frog a bath nor did I think I would play a 1-bit Soulslike, but here we are thanks to the magic of Playdate!

Pushed a server side update to scale the world boss HP for the week. Now it’s challenging but achievable. Unlike last week. All players from last week will also get a small reward from the crow during the next actual client update next month. #playdate
We had a tremendous first half-week and I’m really excited about player progress so far. That said, there’s still time to get our free #playdate game, get started, get the founder’s gift, and get a chance to get some discoveries attributed to you. 80% of discoveries are still out there.

So I overshot how much damage I thought we could all do to a world boss in week one but I tuned it for week 2 so you’ve all got a fighting shot at getting your loot drops. I’ll continue to tune this as player counts change over time to make sure it’s challenging but achievable. #playdate

Emberhold has enough content to keep people busy for at least two months by my best estimate. Before the end of that period I’ve got several more features, quests, and improvements I should be able to put out including another zone for adventuring.
That’s correct! You get one day’s worth of energy each real life day (PST). You choose if you want to spend it going deeper into caves than ever before, training harder to be stronger the next day, mining materials for crafting, experimenting with different craft combinations, etc.

For a limited time, new players get an exclusive item from the mail delivery crow at the witch hut. All you have to do is install the app and visit the witch hut to grab it!
The outpouring of our new #playdate game has already been so incredible. It seems many more of you remember MUD rpgs 🥲 than we expected.
