i don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet but i love that on the beaches in big walk, you get the fun sand that squeaks under your footsteps. i've been to beaches with squeaky sand before, and i genuinely pogged out when i heard my footsteps around the beachside in this game
you know it's a good sign for anything when "new rhythm heaven game after a decade" has genuine competition for my game of the year i'm like three or four hours deep into our save of big walk and haven't even scratched the surface. and i'm foaming at the mouth to explore it even more go play it!!!
Oh, and I made a cake! 🎉It’s funfetti, which was @kaleighsteg.bsky.social’s idea, since the game features confetti! 🎉 (gotta get as much mileage out of my pápier mâché Big Walk head as I can!)

In World 8-7 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, releasing a mushroom on the third Spine Coaster but not collecting it results in an entertaining interaction whereby the Spine Coaster will balance the mushroom on its nose, like a seal trained to balance a ball.

IT'S WORKING NOW so i'd defined a custom font for the sim's console, deleted a buncha fonts in an effort to save space. the sim was looking for the font, getting mad that it couldn't find it, and crashing itself thank you @scenicroutesoftware.com for finding that for me because i never wouldve LOL

also, pro tip for anybody springing for the ace notes in rhythm heaven groove: in can do, specifically; you HAVE to let go of A on the beat the hammer comes down and smashes the can. keeping the button held will not break a perfect, or otherwise affect your rating, but it ruins an ace run. just fyi

I was told you couldn't do 3D on the Playdate, so I did it. Then I was told there was no way I could create exterior levels like those in Mirror's Edge, so I proved them wrong again.
quick heads up: new commission entries are closed for now! gotta get back in the groove, tackle what's on my plate right now, and maybe re-evaluate some details. i'll make some noise whenever they're back open! xoxo
