As someone who has done many things that scare me I can assure you reality has never been as bad as I anticipated it to be. Do it scared 🙂↕️

Friendly reminder that people you admire who are great at something did not start out great at it. It took a lot of practice. A lot of trial and error. You’ve gotta start somewhere 🙏
I just watched @heydonworks.com make music with HTML and I have no words. Genuinely the most incredible talk I’ve ever seen 🐮 🔔 @smashingconf.com
I had no idea @jakearchibald.com was so funny! It was probably the iced wine tbh 🍷 @smashingconf.com
💥 Emma's talk is an intervention: what happens when an assumption goes unchallenged for way too long, and why saying "I was wrong" out loud might be the most underrated leadership move there is. Myth-busting, mildly humbling, very funny. Join us: smashingconf.com/freiburg-2026
Today’s talk is all about finding the joy in being wrong. How, if we don’t spend time changing our minds, we’ll be wrong a lot! 😌 Don’t tell my husband I’m giving this talk though, I’m never wrong when I talk to him 🫡
Well… my parental leave with my second child has officially ended 🥺 I’m so grateful I got to spend six months with him but am also thrilled to be back at work! But today I’m off to Berlin for @leaddev.com 🤩
The organizers of @nordicjs making a gift bag for my daughter who attended when I spoke in 2022 and is attending my talk today is genuinely the nicest thing that any conference has done for me 😭❤️🙏
Tomorrow I’m giving my first conference talk after having my son in May. And my biggest anxiety isn’t the talk or the slides. It’s what to wear 😫😂
@philhawksworth.dev absolutely brilliant intro at @nordicjs.com ! Although Dancing Queen would’ve been epic! 💃 Nice to see you again in Stockholm this time 🙏
Hiii how are you all? I haven't been around in a while 🙃
I’m 30 today and my husband FINALLY caved and bought me an air fryer… to be fair I didn’t shut up about it for over a year 🤷♀️🙇♀️😭😅
In 30 years I can confidently say I have never once put something in the microwave for the right amount of time. It's either "surprise pockets of cold" or "every tastebud on my tongue has been burned off"
Now that my kid is one it’s time for her to start contributing to the household 💁♀️
Let’s go speak at a conference ❤️🙏🥰 (I’m not contagious btw or I wouldn’t go!)
Well during my trip to Leeds I’ve had 2 hospital visits, one ambulance ride, an IV, and a steroid injection. Thankfully I can breathe now… and talk… just in time for my conference talk 🤞🙇♀️😬
Off to Leeds to speak at a conference 🥰 While I studied abroad in London I’ve never been to Leeds! 🥳
It’s taken me until nearly 30 years old to discern what makes a good friend. And while making and keeping friends as an adult is hard, I’d rather have one true friend in my corner than five superficial ones.
Why am I here? To meet people outside my tech bubble, learn more about the world, spread kindness, get support with my management journey, share support as a parent 🥰
If you had told me as a young kid growing up in a small town in New York that one day I’d live in Stockholm, have a Finnish/Swedish husband, a Finnish/Swedish baby, and work at Spotify I would’ve cried. I am grateful 😭
Okay now I’m seeing all the non devs coming through and I’m reevaluating my career choice. Professional composer?? Interior designer? SO COOL. If anyone sees any openings for professional book reader please let me know 😄
Is it just me or are there only engineers/devs on here 😄
I slowly stopped engaging on Twitter ever since I had my daughter 15 months ago. It was horrible for my mental health having keyboard trolls picking apart everything in my life. Thank you to the Bluesky team for building this app ❤️ Really hoping the community stays uplifting.
Where are y’all located? I’m out in Sweden but feel many on here are in the US!
What my day looks like as an engineering manager: 75% meetings 20% scheduling meetings 5% snacking
Is it just me or is it particularly hard to focus today?
Did someone finally manage to build a platform without toxicity? 😭 I love it here already.
