DEI hire. Alaskan.

President Donald Trump endorses Republican Bernadette Wilson for Alaska’s governor in a Truth Social post. He says he urged Dave Bronson to drop out. Trump throws some shade on Treg Taylor, too. Wilson got 10% in the primary, Bronson got 8%, Taylor got 7%. #akleg

I am way too online for my own good, and I had an unreasonably large twitter following, and I really *enjoyed* twitter for a lot of years, and yet leaving there and never looking back was maybe the easiest what-felt-like-a-big-ethical decision I've ever made.

It's not even the ethics of it. My career, my hobbies, my free time, hell, my whole life took off once I fully left Twitter. It is a place to go if you want to be stuck in a neverending race war feedback loop. Like not using ChatGPT, not using Twitter is a superpower. Remain employable; stay off it.

History will smile upon us for funneling journalists into a monolith that routes donations to the people doing the real boots-on-the-ground work: Jeffrey Landfield, Esq. Anyways, here's an ad using Jeff's affiliation w/ the Landmine to influence voters in the same election he's moderating.

I love that quietly slipped into the middle of this controversy is the fact that the Landmine just today released a PAID PRO TRAWLING STORY on behalf of their LITERAL SPONSORS, and then the dude is on Facebook lecturing the Beacon and all of us on journalism ethics. Truly unbelievable stuff. #akleg

I’m proud of the @alaskabeacon.com and @alaska.bsky.social for this decision. It represents a thoughtful willingness to change course based on information and concerns brought forward by its readership. Always a good day to not partner with dangerous bigots. #akleg alaskabeacon.com/2026/10/05/w...

Commentary: We’re making a tough call on an upcoming U.S. House debate | Alaska Beacon

The Alaska Beacon is dropping out of a debate that it had planned to co-host with the Alaska Landmine ahead of the general election.

I’d like to clarify that AlaskaLandemineS.com is actually a legitimate website that is run by an upstanding citizen, as opposed to the other site they is run by the bigoted and unsafe person.

BREAKING: WillMuldoon.com is the newest member of the Alaska Press Club and currently is in talks with the AnchoragePresss.com, AlaskaBeacons.com and AlaskaLandmines.com to enter into an agreement providing satirical coverage of the current state of journalism and ethics in the State of Alaska.

Another reminder to start the week: Partnering and amplifying this man is a red flag that you don’t care about punching down at and targeting women, queer people, and brown people. It also confirms that you don’t care about creating safe spaces for these people in our political environment. #akleg

Reminder that the Alaska Landmine is owned and operated by a categorically racist, misogynist, transphobic piece of shit that openly advocates for MAGA fascism. Do not read it. Do not support it. Do not attend its events. It’s harming our state and neighbors, especially the most vulnerable. #akleg

Why is the @alaskabeacon.com sponsoring a debate hosted by the Landmine? Do you not have enough expertise or resource to host, that you're forced to partner with an organization that adheres to no journalistic standards? Sad.

Absolutely hilarious to have Heather Mann on your broadcast. She’s an out of state shill for big trawl who belittles Alaskans and indigenous people at the North Pacific Council regularly. She sucks money out of Alaska and leaves environmental carnage in her wake. Fun interview tho I’m sure!
