A very tired liberal who believes ethics and details matter.

As an Ohioan, I don't need max miller to step down. The average voter has to see, accept, & internalize that miller is the republican party. Republicans were fine with trump. They were fine with clarence & kavenaugh on the court, hastert & jordan in the locker room, and so on. Make them own it.

Dem leadership, Please run three types of ads, now until midterms: 1. Masked ICE abduction videos, “Trump’s America” (urban) 2. Farmers going bankrupt en mass, “Trump Tariffs Killed US Farms” (rural) 3. Epstein with Trump pics, “Republicans Protect Pedophiles” (everywhere) Do this, you win.

The Trump admin has been trying to get its hands on everyone's data to help them go after immigrant communities, opponents, and dissenters. Now, the Senate might give them more power to spy on us, under the guise of stopping shoplifters. Congress must block CORCA.

Opinion | A new shoplifting bill obscures a dangerous loophole for ICE

CORCA empowers DHS to collect sensitive personal information from retail shoppers and share that information with agencies including ICE.

A vote to confirm Todd Blanche is a vote “so that the Dobbs decision becomes permanent in every single state.” Those were his own words to anti-abortion extremists. Senators who vote for Blanche are voting for an Attorney General who will attack abortion rights in EVERY state.

Blanche assures anti-abortion supporters that Dobbs will be ‘permanent in every single state’

The acting attorney general made the remarks during a private call with faith leaders.

Who thinks it's really tiring to see people writing posts on BlueSky that start with "Who thinks X" with a pithy political statement? No, seriously, it's getting really tedious, and I have to wonder whether it's part of a botnet.

The Senate is considering a bill that would empower the federal government to spy on customers at retail locations across the country. This isn’t about countering theft, it’s about getting our data and aiding the Trump administration’s deportation campaign. Tell your Senators to vote NO.

Don't Give DHS More Power to Spy on Us

Congress is trying to give DHS and ICE more power to spy on us, all disguised as a "shoplifting" bill: CORCA would let federal agencies track anyone shopping at stores in our neighborhoods. Mass surveillance does not keep us safe. Stop CORCA now.

Cherise Doyley was in her 12th hour of contractions at the hospital when a tablet was brought to her bedside. On the screen was a Zoom call with a judge and several lawyers and doctors. She was in court, a nurse told her. The reason? For failing to agree to a C-section. (Published March)

She Was in Labor at a Florida Hospital. Then She Was in Zoom Court for Refusing a C-Section.

A virtual court hearing from a pregnant mother’s hospital bed shows what forced medical treatment can look like.

Republican Senator Bernie Moreno was trying to act REAL tough just days ago. But when it came to defending his own daughter, his silence spoke volumes.

So many sneering elitist journalists with snarky posts over the past months that the Reflecting Pool story was trivial. It was so trivial that the DC US Attny presented false evidence to a grand jury to indict an innocent man to please the President while they both lied about it.
