I just started playing “Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.” Man, do I enjoy the “Yakuza” games, just getting into them this past year.

Fox made an American version of “Doc Martin,” and it’s essentially a carbon copy with shoehorned-in gags that are only there to appeal to the 7 second attention span crowd. If you saw trailers for “Best Medicine” and have a Prime account with Britbox or Acorn, watch the UK version instead.

Rich seems to know his “Man of La Mancha.” What matter wounds to the body of a knight errant? For each time he falls, he shall rise again, and woe to the wicked! #welcometoderry

Nick Jonas portraying Paul Stanley in a biopic? I’m….intrigued.

I’m looking into starting the 3d printing hobby. Looking for rec’s for FDM rather than resin, even though I’ll be making miniatures with it. Apparently PLA+ is good enough.

I just started watching “The Four Seasons” on Netflix. I got up to the resort episode, and Colman Domingo is being so messy rn. I live for it.

I started watching “Mid-Century Modern” with Nathan Lane. Nice to see the girl hasn’t lost one ounce of Albert in 30 years.

Finally giving “Rise of the Ranger” by Philip C. Quaintrell a try. My God, has Indie Pub yielded a thousand thousand treasures for me these last two years.

Started a new book today, “White Trash Warlock” by @drslayton.bsky.social. It’s got me hooked by chapter two. Feels like “Dresden” but with an Okie twist. Nice to see someone from this state of mine come out with an instant classic. Check it out, if only for the original title choice.

I finally got around to “Watchmen: Chapter 1” on Max. I love the meta joke of Jeffrey Combs playing Moloch and having a confrontation w/Rorschach.

Library book sale. I said I wasn’t going to buy anything, and I meant it. Oops.

Did we all get snowed on this whole Daniel situation?

Currently listening to “We Solve Murders” by @richardosman1.bsky.social to get out of this reading slump. It’s perfect for the task. Highly recommend.

Too many to mention for me LOL

Two weeks until my most anticipated movie, “Love Hurts.” It’s so wonderful to see Ke Huy Quan get his acclaim.

Damn, Bob Uecker passed away. It was always a highlight of my year to rewatch “Major League,” so I will have to raise a beer in his honor next time.

What's Going On With LUNAR?!

I know I’m a bad author before I even begin when I take stock of the ideas I’ve had rattling around for a while and realize how close certain elements skew towards more popular and prolific wordsmiths.

I’m sure there are those who would disagree with me, but I’m truly amazed by every episode I’ve seen of #creaturecommandos.

I closed out 2024 with “Night of Knives,” and began 2025 with “The Fall.” This will be a great year.

I've heard that Esslemont is easier to read than Erikson, so maybe my plan to start (third time lucky) my foray into "Malazan" with his Night of Knives rather than his companion's Gardens of the Moon will be the sufficient kick up the ass I require. Three chapters in, I'm eager for more.

@jamesgunn.bsky.social and crew knocked another one out of the park with this week’s ep of #creaturecommandos. Sean gets those good, sympathetic parts that draw you in with such a limited amount of time to do it.

Another enticing one from Master Hayes, tempting me to break my TBR before it’s even begun to unfold. Not today, Satan.

As every Mortal Techniques book starts with a poem, here's the full one for BLOOD BROTHERS BEYOND, which it just so happens is out now.
