Last but not least, Session 9 at #EOU26 on interspecific relationships and predation Rowan Kuminski, Eliska Kucerova, and Johanka Bláhová on predation, anti-predator behaviour, and host–parasite interactions. A strong final session to wrap up the conference.

Session 8 at #EOU26 focused on biologging Thiemo Karwinkel, Susan Ellen McKinlay, Giovanna Sandretti da Silva, Ryan Boswarthick and Trevor MacLaurin on tracking movements, flight behaviour, survival, and tag effects. A lot of insight from these approaches—what stood out to you?

The discussions continued #EOU26 with session on human–wildlife interactions Patrycja Piotrowska on great tits across urban gradients, Marta Nartowicz on diet and anthropogenic particles, Aleksandra Syguła on UV films and bird collisions, and Leonardo Siddi on invasive plants and bird communities.

Thanks for featuring our work! Across 6 Italian cities (220 point counts; breeding + winter), we find that established parakeets tend to expand the functional trait space of urban bird communities, consistent with filling underused niche space.
