I write cozy romantasy with protagonists who take time to get to know each other. Now querying contemporary romance! I’ve also published Bread Science and a bicycling memoir. I edit science papers and I live in fear of my cat. https://janebuehler.com

Today's #fridayfling is *bake* and my cozy fantasy WIP is Sourdough & Sweethearts, about a villager bread baker and the rival (?) cheese maker across the square...

board with flour and loaves of bread, with text over it reading, “Do you have some extra sourdough starter?”
Linny stared. Her parents’ voices barged into her head, warning her. She had to protect her sourdough starter at all costs. It was the key to her bakery’s success, a secret to be guarded, not something to share. The one time she’d shared the family starter had been a disaster. She had been too trusting.
But the fairy waited with wide innocent eyes. She probably just wanted to bake a loaf for herself.

Sometimes it's good just to get something done, even if it's not the most important thing, so you get the happy feeling of accomplishment. Today I made a @bookshop.org store with my books and some lists, including best comps and other cozy romantasies: bookshop.org/shop/ejb
