Lifelong comic collector. Posting signed comics and convention sketches from my collection every day, until I run out of books or lose focus.
"Suspiciously green bananas from the government store" is the unsuccessful sequel to "fried green tomatoes at the whistle stop cafe"
suspiciously green bananas is sadly one of the funniest things i’ve read in awhile
suspiciously green?? my man what exactly are your suspicions
Spoken like a man who has never had to shop for himself.
This is probably not an original observation, but it occurred to me at lunch: Salsa is soup and chips are edible spoons.
Signed comic of the day: Groo the Wanderer #3 signed (plus a small doodle) by Sergio Aragones.
I just got a mental image of the National Lampoon super-hero Politenessman intervening with his steel hanky and a lecture.
I honestly don’t know how anyone can be in the room when he says this kind of shit and not say ANYTHING. That’s not how you talk to people! Hit him with a rolled up newspaper or SOMETHING.
First time Dogs wear boots is funny 🤣 pet boots are good for paw protection on hot cement or snow/ice. It takes a little while but they get used to them.
If only there were some major literary character whose tenuous connection to reality took the form of antipathy towards windmills.
Trump: "Any country with windmills is a loser"
Despite everything that's going on in the world, at least this art will make this month a little easier to bear.
August is Summer Under the Stars on @tcmtv.bsky.social They feature a different star all day, every day this month. I'm going to illustrate them all. To start it off, TCM is featuring the films of Doris Day today. My art:
Signed comic of the day: Eightball #6 signed by Daniel Clowes.
An innocent man allegedly detained despite evidence of his innocence. American citizens killed during ICE operations. How many failures does it take before this administration is held accountable?
Imagine posting a simple observation about a small moment in LotR, and then having it hijacked like this.
just in case you wondered how graham is doing lol
When the evidence was finally turned over, I was hopeful but had a sad feeling it was too good to be true.
Did we expect ICE to provide real evidence? www.startribune.com/renee-good-s...
Ah yes, NUMBERS emblazoned in giant LETTERS.
Trump: “I disagree 100% with Jeanine Pirro on the Reflecting Pool. I don’t know what she was thinking? To me, it was a pure case of VANDALISM, that included the grass, which had a big 86 47 emblazoned …There may have been some contractor difficulty, but major damage was caused by VANDALS!”
For the enlightenment of the 💩🤡s going after Fauci:
Ronald Reagan ignored the AIDS crisis—and his “dear friend” from Hollywood, Rock Hudson, who asked for help. Dr. Fauci jumped in and helped. Guess which guy the homophobic ghouls in the Republican Party revere today.
Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatched? An Abbott & Costello ghost movie. Summer fun silliness with Frankie & Annette. Remembering Chuck Russell with Jim Carrey's human-cartoon vehicle. And remembering Glen Hansard with his slice-of-life musical romance and his Oscar-winning song.
Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatched? I witnessed Doc from Gunsmoke as a shady lawyer, puzzled over Ian McKellen being too old for a role by decades (but enjoyed it anyway), solved the mystery of a Wu-Tang Clan favorite, & felt the summer heat with an erotic thriller. #Letterboxd
When Justice is blind, bad guys take the fifth. When justice is corrupt, good guys take the fifth. Feel free to share.

Perhaps the most stomach-turning part of this news was a quote from David Diamond, an attorney who had represented Nixon Perez Paz in traffic court: "When STLPR informed Diamond that Pérez Paz had been shot and killed alongside his wife, he said it “doesn’t matter” before hanging up."
Incredibly heartbreaking. They found the baby crying next to its mother. Do they look like criminals? Someone needs to pay for their contribution to this horrific murder, Stephen Miller. www.stlpr.org/law-order/20...
