I keep reading legacy media reports about the daily actions of Trump, as if he were a normal president, as if he wasn’t intent on democracy’s destruction & ignoring the rule of law. This crook has gotten away with crimes all his life because he was not judged clearly as a criminal flouting the law.

I have no idea if Lindsay Clancy should be found guilty - only a jury who has heard all the admissible evidence and nothing but can determine that. But I do know that the more I've read about the case in recent days, the more sympathetic towards her I've become.

We should expect that professional social media pundits care so much about Hasan Piker - himself a professional social media pundit. However, and with no disrespect to him, no one who isn't terminally online gives a damn about his opinions one way or the other.

Major media aren't reporting that Trump is out of his mind, though he obviously is. (See Strait of Hormuz as "U.S. territory," Canada as "51st state," AI slop showing Trump as Jesus, etc.) Either they think Trump’s broken brain is so obvious it’s not news, or they think insanity is "normal" now.

This is worth reading in its entirety but tl;dr: The use of generative AI by HS students for homework dramatically decreases test performance. Yes, this seems obvious, but there are many people who are still mistakenly convinced that AI in education will inevitably turn our kids all into geniuses.
