Got one of these Dallas Sunday insert comics when my family lived in Texas (though not this one). They were such a great add in.

After a brief pop in to VA, I have returned home to MN. And I am exhausted.
There is no version of yourself you could become that would satisfy the people who hate you. So you might as well be who you are.
Just saw a Lord Huron show. Heck of a performance. Opener August Ponthier also excellent. Great times were had.
I admit, I'd still like to draw Spider-man for money, but... under a specific set of circumstances. It has to be "classic" Spidey. Sort of what BND was. Either a new timeline with a teen/young Spidey, or a throwback like Untold Tales. Also I'd want to work with @erikburnham.bsky.social again.
Sure liked that Spidey movie. Two bits of weirdness my brain couldn’t drop, but nothing movie ruining, just neuroses.
Also, this is an experiment for future works. Big ol’ PDF of comics! (Just don’t buy them through an IOS app.)
Doing a test on Patreon. The Downside: Digital Nonsense vol. 1 is up. 100 strips, $10. (Testing waters on both Patreon sales of original content and interest before I think about kickstarting all comic strips to date in a hard copy.) There's a bonus for buying before August! Make me a thousandaire!
Happy Friday! Once again I remind the internet I have room to do writing for interested parties. Some fun irons in the fire, but I can always use more. (I have that midwestern work ethic after all.)
Close to wrapping up most of my projects—that’ll put me open for work by April if not sooner. 👀
Yeah. I put up a thing for sale as a test. $10 on it, and Patreon warns me “but if they buy it through iOS, it’s $14.” So…yeah, don’t do that.
patreon, like everything else, has a mobile site. there is no reason to use an app for anything, an app is just a worse web browser. everyone please stop installing apps on your phone. apps are useless you can do it with Mozilla Firefox and they have adblock on there
Saw a discussion about the Sopranos and now remember my favorite reaction to the finale. A young couple chatted to me at the video store I then worked at. The guy went on for five minutes about the meaning and symbolism. The gal nodded, and, when Guy finished, looked at me & said: “It was shit.”🤣
Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines, Raphael is cool but rude, Michelangelo is a party dude! The animated Turtles are back in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures Vol. 1 - 8! The TMNT: Return to New York comics bundle supports Make-a-Wish | https://bit.ly/4yukdCF

And now that Turtles is finished, my schedule has room. Editors, when you come out of your post SDCC recovery comas, call me!
Welp, just turned in the final revisions for TMNT SMA #41. I will miss the book, the team, the characters, and the weird world we carved out of familiar territory together. 1/
Think I'm gonna put up a nice little PDF of some comics strips onto Patreon for individual sale today or tomorrow.
So…people have been asking me where to read about Lady Muse/Muse II, and I said to look at Daredevil: Unleash Hell by @valepinti.bsky.social and I, but…Marvel took it off their unlimited app. 1/3

I saw Mayo trending and my first thought was “is this another recall thanks to all that genius deregulation?” …and that’s just sad.
COMCI FLATTERS! Anyone have bandwidth to flat 4 pages (2 singles and a spread) between now and tomorrow morning?
The truth is, I invented toast. I’m so glad you all like it.
I went and saw Castle of Cagliostro in theaters once. After, a short docustyle piece on Lupin III. Monkey Punch mentioned the animated era he felt was closest to his own work in the comics tonally (blue jacket.) These two dudes walked out saying “that guy didn’t understand the character.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been racking my brain and can’t recall anything. There’s probably something weird enough to present but my brain isn’t cooperating. And that’s frustrating. Still, neat thread.
Okay, my QUESTION OF THE DAY is… What is your weirdest actual accomplishment? Not the biggest necessarily…but the weirdest?
At least 70% of the time when a fan dismisses a (movie/show/comic/novel/game) idea as bad and then says “what they should have done,” that shoulda done idea is unworkable or inadvisable. Have some fun, tell them no. That that idea sucks. It’s wild seeing people change color.
