I describe the ruckus. @coloradotimesrecorder.com

Good morning! I’m in Lakewood for Colorado Christian University’s Western Conservative Summit. It’s like a convention for every group I’ve covered in the last 5 years…

Today: CO GOP gubernatorial nominee Victor Marx says he's skipping the Club 20 Western Slope candidate debate. 8yrs ago: the Republican Govs Association was furious over Polis' decision to do the same.

INBOX: Former AG candidate David Seligman's nonprofit law firm Towards Justice & faith advocates Together Colorado sue Hudson over new ICE facility- asking court to order town to require what it would normally: a permit & a public hearing. "The Town has the authority and the obligation to act.”

INBOX: Far-right gun group RMGO claims credit for three CO statehouse wins (and a DougCo commish) by more conservative candidates. One race, HD60, isn't official yet. They cite over $2M in spending by "left-leaning mega donors," referring to establishment GOP dark money IECs.

As someone who pays excruciating attention to Republican election deniers, I can say that within the CO GOP, the "vote-in-person-on-election-day-only" block is not insubstantial. More of them will go to Bottoms than Marx, but very few will go to Kirkmeyer.

As Coloradans cast and count and report ballots (now over a million votes' worth), nearly all using mail ballots accurately tabulated on electronic voting machines, the state's most famous and least remorseful election denier visits the White House.

Election denier Tina Peters is joining the RMV festival later this month. She's speaking the same day as Republican Attorney General candidate Michael Allen, who recently posted that as District Attorney, "we actively investigate and prosecute election fraud, and we’ve held bad actors accountable."

This really thorough deep-dive from @lawfaremedia.org into J6 participants' subsequent crimes features our CTR story on Tim Arvidson, whose post-J6 activities included running for office, leading a local election commission, and being arrested for murder.

NEW: A stunning new project from @lawfaremedia.org's @katherinepomps.bsky.social finds that 97 Jan. 6ers who received clemency for their role in the Capitol riot then got arrested, charged, and/or convicted with subsequent crimes—a number much higher than previously reported.

Tim Arvidson, a fomer GOP state Senate candidate who was arrested yesterday after allegedly shooting and killing a man in CO Springs, boasted on Facebook about taking part in the J6 riot, posting a photo of himself driving there, uploading a video of it, & later processing what he "experienced."

This Berthoud Surveyor interview with Congressman Gabe Evans is from Wednesday. The gas price chart is today's. If Evans is to be believed, it would appear he hasn't filled up since sometime in March.

Two Republicans (and one ex-Republican) running for #COGov took the stage in Parker Weds night to pitch mass deportations, jailing the attorney general, and abolishing property taxes. The GOP fundraising leader skipped the forum to do his own livestream, so we reported on that too. #copolitics
