one reason other social media platforms prioritize video so much is that it creates so many signals for ad targeting. I’m not sure what bluesky’s business model is but if it’s not ad-based that could lead to a different structure for what kind of content is elevated

The reason why the vibes are good here is because there’s no video. Video sucks up so much attention and virality on other platforms and can provoke extreme emotion. With only text and image, things are just more chill.

I’m so sorry for not shitposting but this was not possible once the deal was signed a year ago. Elon could only pay a $1B breakup fee if he proved his bot theory in court. he was just on Tucker Carlson saying he thought the court would’ve forced him to stick to the contract and buy Twitter
