Covid vaccines are now in stock at CVS, according to a spokeswoman. CVS will require prescriptions in three states: Arizona, Louisiana and Oregon. (Walgreens is also requiring them in Arizona and Oregon.) This could change if state officials act. My article will be updated soon with this info.

There are so many places these soldiers are needed for help with disasters around the country—Gary, Indiana, for example— and instead they’re being put up in luxury hotels and apartments in DC at a cost of 3 million dollars a day, a symbol of the president’s insecurity. www.npr.org/2026/08/24/n...

I had a great time running a back-to-school swap table today! About 90 percent of items found their way into new homes! Everything from school supplies to books and clothes to furniture! Many thanks to all who donated! I’ll hopefully be at a couple more events this season. Already lessons learned!
