I feel like we don’t get as much cool disc art anymore. The PS1 Resi 3 disc art is infinitely better than the PS4 version. It's not even a contest.

#16 Star Fox 2026 This looks and plays amazingly. Like, I don't care that it's short. In fact, I kinda like it. I appreciate that it's designed to be played multiple times in a row. It doesn't get old one bit. Plus, the game looks outstanding. That Corneria opening, it's very beautiful. I love it.

I think one of the things overlooked by many, or maybe not talked about as much, is that many physical game buyers also bought digital games. So by canceling discs, Sony will lose digital sales too. Case in point, I have a PS account since 2011 with 119 PS4/5 games. That's excluding PSV and PS3.
Shit like this happes if you don't have any serious competition.
I think the thing that bugs me about all this is, deep down, that the white whale these companies are trying to slay is “ownership.” They hate that a disc means YOU OWN the media, and they’ve been trying to circumvent it for years. Now, they’re not even trying, they’re just declaring war.
