I still think a lot of you would be better off if you only worried about politics in the elections you can actually vote in. You simply cannot make me care about the Arizona governor's race, for example.
My neighbor told me progressives keep eating centrist candidates in primaries and so I asked how much his centrist PACs are spending and he said oh just a couple dozen mil every primary so I said it sounds like he's just feeding billions to broadcast TV networks and then his daughter started crying.

Just so everyone knows, this is a tried-and-true mainstream media tactic. For progressives/leftist candidates, every election is a “crucial test” and any loss would serve as proof to the media that the latest left-side moment is at its end. Any win, though, just means it’s time to find a new test.

As I folded like 4 baskets of laundry at 9 pm, J told me about chatting with another dad about daycamp dropoff this morning. He was like "I'm here because I'm the morning one." The other guy said his wife was their family's morning person. I get shit done at 9pm. Things that start at 8 am are MEAN.
The Great Food Truck Road Race is back and the villain edit is apparently for these LA Gays with a cannoli truck. Their sales guy has a "Britney mic" and is being a dick on the mic to other trucks. This year they are doing sweet trucks vs. savory trucks.
My kid told their favorite youth group leader about this during their service work today, and he had a present for me at pickup: a DSA magnet, lol.

Pointing out underlying health issues may seem victim blame-y but it's just a fact that I learned in food safety training that some people are more susceptible to foodborne illness than others-- including the very young, very old, and immunocompromised-- and it's part of risk assessment!
