6/6 The fastest route to ending the war is not waiting for Russia to exhaust itself. It is giving Ukraine enough combat power that Russia cannot win the war at a price it can survive.

1/6 At its current pace, Russia would need more than a century to seize the remaining 80% of Ukraine. Sustaining today’s casualty rate for that long would mean roughly 36 million Russian casualties—more than the country’s entire current population of military-age men.

The evidence is starting to suggest Iran fears Ukraine far more than the United States. And Ukraine helping the US is something it does not owe us through any treaty or agreement.

I knew some of Anthony Fauci’s family. They were kind in a way that you swear it can't be real and only through time do you realize it is. That's how he is too.

It’s like a parody. And now from former Russian state media employee who frequently uncritically interviews members of internationally recognized FTOs with the zeal of a valley girl getting a smoothie, we bring to you the story of censorship— 🤯

In 2018, Khalek was working for an outlet called Redfish, which purported to be a grassroots activist collective. In fact, it was Russian state media. Surely there are others with credibility who could discuss this matter? www.thedailybeast.com/grassroots-m...

“Everybody who cares about a free press and cares about free speech should be alarmed about an attack like this," says BreakThrough News journalist Rania Khalek.

Enemies of the US have always hated USAID— Russia, China, Iran have loathed it for decades. Why? It was a force for good and that made people like the US. Reagan revered it. Bush leveraged it to save millions of lives. Rubio demanded Biden fund it.

For every $1 the government claimed to save by cutting foreign aid, it added about $380 to the federal deficit elsewhere in the budget. That's without factoring in the increased cost of armed conflicts we won't prevent, deaths we can't stop, and allies we won't have the next time we need them.

Considering that USAID has been destroyed and that millions are dying as a result, you don’t fucking get to pretend your “USAID was a foul tool of American imperialism” take is merely hypothetical. Stop being a sniveling little weasel and own it: you think the deaths of all those kids is worth it.

Whenever I hear someone claiming that USAID was evil from a leftist perspective, I hear someone saying “yes, millions ARE dying because Musk and Trump killed USAID, but at least they’ll die free of American imperialism.” Notably it is never the people saying this who are dying.

If anyone is seriously arguing it’s not GLP-1s lol, that’s some hopium. RFK Jr. has been a disaster for everyone except the agrochemicals industry and natural food dye companies. The trouble with insane people is that they don’t won’t recognize they're a problem, but Congress sure should have.

The UFC attack plotters seem to have pulled their targets from “TrackAIPAC,” which makes it even more damning that TrackAIPAC has been caught fabricating the numbers.

danah boyd recently argued that social media (as we knew it) is mostly dead; what we have now is parasocial media: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/... I agree. Networked social media is disappearing, replaced by a new logic/structure of content creator, creator-centered community, & algorithm.

Social Media Is Now Parasocial Media - danah boyd, 2026

When practitioners used the term “social media” to describe the internet tools that emerged in the mid-aughts, they were giving a name to the kinds of platforms...
