as you read the insane campaign fundraising numbers dropping today please recall that currently Elon Musk is personally responsible for about 1 in every 20 dollars spent on behalf of Republicans nationwide in 2026; I wouldn’t be surprised if when the dust settles that number is as high as 1 in 10
There's a weird phenomenon on here where the effective, popular Democrats whose messages and actions we like don't count as Dems whenever it is time to excoriate the party for not doing anything.
What's the argument that El-Sayed, Mamdani, AOC, Ossoff, Pritzker, Omar, et al. Have not made a case to the public?

Democrats have done nothing to create this current political condition. They didn’t stridently oppose Trump or make a case to the public.
So uh, are we going to consider maybe Dems have done a few things right here and there if this wave really is like that?

we do the ha-ha clueless thing but the truth imo is that it is culturally possible to grow up male-- and this is not intended as self-flagellation, just as descriptive-- without really internalizing that women also have sexual agency, which means you miss when they're exercising it at you

really think that if democrats hold any chamber of congress next year that a condition of passing a budget is the removal of russ vought, who has a genuinely tyrannical vision of presidential power and is a focal point of the lawlessness of the trump administration
